Cyber Smart: Being Safe

Today my friend Sa Kae and I watched this video on the Cyber Smart game. This video was about a girl who posted all these things about herself on her blog. But sadly most of the things that she posted online was going to lead her to danger. After we watched what happened my friend and I answered these questions with a YES or NO. If you would like to watch this video you can look here.

Cyber Smart: Task Card 3

Yesterday we were trying out this Cyber Smart game. On of our tasks that my partner Sa Kae and I landed on was this google drawing. It asked us a question which was "What are the three elements you need to include in a quality blog comment". As my friend and I were thinking we started typing our ideas down. This is what we came up with.

Paper Flying in LS2

Today at school for maths we were throwing paper planes. Our learning intention was to design and make a paper plane that will fly the further est. Our tasks today was making a team paper plane and analysing our measurements. To get our designs for our paper plane we looked at all of our groups paper planes that they have made and put our ideas together. We use my plane length and Gozan's wingspan. Then when Gozan flew the plane, it didn't go as far as we though but it was still a good try.  At the end our measurements for the first throw was 4.15 metres, second throw was 7.89 metres, and our last throw was 5.66 metres, and our final throw was 4.57 metres.

Commenting - LS2

Today we have been doing blog comments on our classmates blog. Today I did my friend Afu's blog. You can check her blog out here . One of her blog posts I really liked was her Jean Batten Timeline. The dates were very tidy and wasn't put everywhere on the timeline randomly, she did it in order. Great job for Afu!

Jean Batten Timeline

Yesterday and today we have been making a timeline for Jean Batten. In the timeline I have made I have done a ten year algorithm, and in between those ten years I add the extra little dates to show the events that happened in her life. On the side I also have the references (websites where I got my information). But if those don't work on my DLO I have them here and here.

Cyber Searching Skills

Last week one of our inquiry tasks was using our cyber searching skills we learnt from Mrs. Oglivie, but searching about our own topic. The topic my partners and I chose was nectarines. Did you know that sometimes peach trees can grow nectarines and vice versa? Find out more inside my DLO.
