In my group was Jorja, Te Wai, and Latham. You can also see our DLO we made on 1 thing a narrative structure had to have, a character intro, and our comment on what part of the movie to our eyes was the best.
This blog is a record of my learning from Panmure Bridge Primary School through to Tamaki College.

Our learning intention for this task was to describe the importance of the kauaka to the Maori people. In this story it tells a fact of how the Kauaka came to be and some facts on how the Maori and the Kauaka are connected.

Cyber Smart - shorcuts
Today we played that Cyber Smart game again and landed on this task. Our question me and my partner Sa Kae and I had to think about was "What are the shortcut keys for cut, copy and paste?" and "Why would you use copy instead of cut before pasting?". We were quite confused at what the second question was saying but the we figured it out later. Here is our work.

Cyber Smart: Being Safe
Today my friend Sa Kae and I watched this video on the Cyber Smart game. This video was about a girl who posted all these things about herself on her blog. But sadly most of the things that she posted online was going to lead her to danger. After we watched what happened my friend and I answered these questions with a YES or NO. If you would like to watch this video you can look here.

Rockets and Newton's laws
For inquiry we were talking about how rockets work. We also learnt about Newton's 3 laws. One of the things we talked about was how the gas inside the engine comes out of the exhaust and thrust the rocket out into space. In this DLO we also stated 3 facts about rockets and introduced a joke, it goes like this:
Me: Finish this sentence, may the force...
You: Be with you?
Me: Nope, may the force be mass times acceleration

The Forces of Flight
Today for inquiry we learnt about the physics of flight. This is my DLO I have made on flight. Lift and thrust is what makes the plane go up and drag plus weight keeps the plane down. Gravity also keeps the plane from coming off the face of the earth. Like if a planes engine stopped working, it wouldn't float to the left or the right, it would crash straight into the ground. That it because gravity pulls thing to the earth. We also learnt Newton's first law ( which is on my DLO too ).

Challenge 1 was attributing images, Challenge 2 was working in a group to build the Whare Tapu Wha and explain what would happen if one of these walls fell down. Challenge 3 was to take our heart rate, and lastly Challenge 4 was to make a Canva about Hauora. If you would like to see what my group and I, Nazanin, Haijera, and Troy did, look inside this slide.

Attributes and Images - Charlize and Jessie
Today we were learning how and why we attribute our photos. We attribute our photos to show thanks to the person who took the photo. Attributing photos is also quite easy to do, except when you have to get the authors name, license, and website.First we clicked on search tools then went to Usage Rights then we clicked on labeled for use. after did that we went to go and visit the site. When we finished on the site we had to find the person who put it up on images and the license.
