Rocket Follow Up DLO: Fair Testing

Last Friday on the 2nd of December 2016, all of us year 7 and 8's traveld by bus to Tamaki College to build and learn about rockets. We first had to do fair testing with our straw rockets. We recorded our plane results and answered all the questions inside this google slide. Have a look at our predictions and our conclusions.

Working at Tech

This is Mahdia and I on our computers at Tech.  We were collaging our photos from the Tech we have been doing for the past term. The website we were using was  Picmonkey. You can click the link and it will take you there. 

Design Progress

Today we have made our collage of our progress so far. The first thing we did was plan out ideas of what to draw for someone and make a design brief of who the person was and what they liked. Also, we searched up different kinds of jewellery and made a DLO of them. After that, we folded our paper into 6, draw our concept idea and developed/ changed them a bit.  Later we looked at the positives and the improvements of our concept ideas. Now so far we made one of our Tinkercad designs with plasticine, like I made my flower into a plasticine shape. That is what we have done so far at Tech.

Tech graphics: 3D printing design

At tech in the 3D printing class, we made a plan for what kind of jewellery we would make for our person. I was trying to make a K for my cousins key chain and a  flower for my mum. I chose a K for my cousin because that is the start of her name, and I did a flower for my mum because she likes pacific flowers, or any kind.

Jewelry planning

This is one of my google drawings. My tech teacher Mrs. Ferguson told all us 8's year to make a small DLO on choices of what we could make for our jewelry. These are some of the choices of what I might make.

My TINKERCAD

This is my Tinkercad........thing. We were learning how to use this site and make cool different shapes and models, like moving, sizing, grouping, measuring, and lots of other stuff. The website we used is called Tinkercad.com where you can also make shapes and things too. This is a picture of what I made. It is a strange looking creature about to get hit by a big rock.

First day of Tech

This is a photo of the 3D printing room. This is the class I go to. Mrs. Ferguson was showing us the meaning of 3D and the name of shapes. This is Courtney and I writing down some of the things our teacher was teaching us, while practising our 3D drawing.
