Smart Searching Skills
Today the year 8's and I went over to our school library to have a lesson on smart searching skills with Mrs. Ogilivie. She gave us tips and tricks to help us with our researching, like for example using key words. Instead of typing in 'Who are the best netball players in Ireland?', type in this 'netball ireland players best'. It may not make sense but google searches up each word individually. Also, making all your words lowercase also brings more better websites. A while after we were shown how to do the C.R.A.P test on websites and how to use Kids InfoBits and Britannica School, I showed my buddy SaKae the two websites we were introduced. She learnt quite a bit and may use these websites for her homework.

We had some awesome learning in this session Charlize! Well done for sharing your learning so clearly with Sa Kae. The sites Mrs Ogilvie showed us had so much information. Remember to use the hints about key words that she shared with us when you are searching for information :)
